Apparently, a dad’s gotta do what a dad’s gotta do. (Or so they say)
At least, that’s the message that Hyundai’s newly released third Super Bowl ad called “First Date” wants to drive home to consumers before the kickoff at Levi’s Stadium this upcoming Sunday. (And that pun was totally intended)
See their 60-second Game Day ad here:
The 2016 Hyundai Super Bowl commercial features comedian Kevin Hart and puts the spotlight on the Genesis Sedan. In the ad, Hart plays the role of a controlling dad who, according to AdAge, “stalks a guy taking his daughter on a date in a Genesis Sedan” while using the car’s wicked cool “car finder” app that locates the vehicle. (Or come to think of it, maybe it wouldn’t be so cool if our dads ruined our dates because of it).

The Hyundai Super Bowl 50 commercial is the third of four Hyundai commercials that have been released for public viewing and is scheduled to air before CBS’s broadcast of the Big Game this upcoming Sunday. (Yikes, it’s only four days away!) The ad highlights the Genesis Sedan’s “modern design,” and emphasizes it luxurious features.
According to AdAge, the fourth ad of the bunch titled “Better,” will also air just before kickoff and will launch the “brand positioning, ‘We Make Things Better,’” while ending with the tagline “Better Is The Engine That Drives Us.” The auto company’s last ad has not yet been revealed, but we do know that it will feature a man that’s on a mission to make the world a better place and focus more on highlighting “the core values of the brand and what Hyundai delivers to its consumers,” through the use of storytelling.
