Top 7 Most Original Super Bowl Commercials

Not All Commercials Are Created Equal.

It ain’t easy to be original when it comes to the Super Bowl. Pretty much every company is hoping to make their mark. Whether through humor, sex or just plain brilliance, an innovative commercial is the kind that gets everyone talking (and YouTubing) throughout the next day – or week – at work. And that, after all, is the dream and aspiration of every Super Bowl advertiser!

Few and far between though they may be, every so often we see a commercial that we remember not for days, but for years. Here they are, the best of the best – the top seven most original/creative/innovative commercials of all time.

Will one of Super Bowl 50’s commercials make this list? We can only hope so!

7. Miller High Life’s “One Second” (2009)

Instead of using 30 seconds to impress us, the guys over at Miller decided one second would be enough. It was.

6. Wendy’s “Where’s The Beef?” (1984)

Created in the 80s, this commercial is still a classic.

5. Oreo’s “Whisper Fight” (2013)

Just when you thought there wasn’t much to say about chocolate sandwich cookies, Oreo manages to surprise us all. Be prepared to pick a side after watching this entertaining commercial.

4. Wix’s “#It’sThatEasy” (2015)

This commercial by first-timers gave 5 NFL legends some very unusual new careers. Brett Favre – selling meat and cheese? Why not?!

3. Taco Bell’s “Viva Young” (2013)

Perks of getting older? Getting away with almost anything. It also means ending a crazy night filled with sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll at good ol’ Taco Bell.

2. FedEx’s “Carrier Pigeons” (2008)

Learn from other people’s mistakes and don’t rely on carrier pigeons. Use FedEx.

1. Apple’s “Introducing Macintosh” (1984)

Ironic today, since we know Apple is taking over the world. Check it out for yourself.
