Sprint Profile

The Sprint Corporation can be traced back all the way to 1899! It was initially founded to provide telephone service to the rural area surrounded Abilene, Kansas. Since then, the company has made huge strides and is now the third largest wireless network operator in the United States, serving 54.8 million customers, as of 2014.

However, the company did not survive 118 years without facing trials and tribulations along the way. During the Great Depression, many telephone subscriptions were given up, and as a result the company went bankrupt and was forced to reorganize.
