Super Bowl LI marks Sprint’s fifth time advertising in the Super Bowl.

Sprint’s 2015 Super Bowl commercial

In Super Bowl XLIX, the cellphone carrier used their spot to diss on rivals Verizon and AT&T. The ad promoted Sprint’s cut your bill in half event. Basically, Sprint used a screaming donkey to convey the message that they could cut your phone bill in half. If a customer was a current Verizon or AT&T customer willing to switch to Sprint, they could save a whole lotta moolah!

Sprint’s 2014 Super Bowl commercial

In 2014, Sprint aired a 30-second spot during the third quarter, highlighting Sprint’s friends and family plan, otherwise known as the #Framily plan.

Sketchy Jeff is played by actor Sean Michael Guess.
