Pop star Lady Gaga will perform the national anthem at Super Bowl 50 this Sunday!
Our dream has finally come true… before the kickoff, Lady Gaga will kick off Super Bowl 50 by singing the national anthem at Levi’s Stadium. In fact, we think we’re even more excited to see Lady Gaga than Coldplay in the 2016 Halftime Show!

Best known for her hit tunes, Poker Face and Bad Romance, Gaga will take the Super Bowl 50 stage along with Oscar winning actress Marlee Matlin, who will perform the song in American Sign Language. And then, it’s time for the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos to battle it out on the playing field.
At Super Bowl XLIX, Idina Menzel performed the “Star-Spangled Banner” performer. In case you missed it, here’s a look back at Menzel’s rendition of our national anthem.
Lady Gaga’s performance at the Big Game is one in a series of high-profile appearances for the singer. She is also scheduled to perform a tribute for the legendary David Bowie at the Grammy’s, just one week after Super Bowl 50. If that isn’t enough to get you jumping with excitement, the International Business Times states that the “Grammy Award winning singer will also perform at the Oscars at the end of the month.” (And we’ve already marked our calendars)
From a National Anthem to a Halftime Show
While Gaga was granted the honor of performing the anthem just before kickoff, Coldplay will be headlining the halftime show along with Beyonce – and we’re sure it’ll be enough to get the crowd roaring.
