It looks like someone on the Bud Light marketing team indulged in a rather shameless bout of nostalgia and went all-out for this year’s Super Bowl commercial. Pictures of a life-size Pac-Man maze - complete with light-up walls, life-size ghosts and jellies – have surfaced on Twitter and Facebook.

The maze was built in a parking lot of LA’s Fashion District and it seems like it is going to be used in a 60-second Super Bowl commercial. Promoting the idea that Bud Light is the beer for spontaneity and fun, the ad called “coin” will see a man receive a message on his beer bottle telling him to go outside. There he’ll receive a giant coin to activate an equally big slot machine for a round at a life-sized game of Pac-Man.
Although this may sound pretty insane, the ad - which will air on February 1 during the big game - reprises last year’s “Up For Whatever” campaign.
The ad will also be supported by a “House of Whatever,” a set up for a three days party in Phoenix – the host of this year’s game – in the run up to the game. The party will feature major artists like Steve Aoki and others. Want a chance to party at the House of Whatever? Grab a Bud Light and live your bottle #UpForWhatever
