Acura has made it’s Game Day commercial public..and it’s enough to make us ROAR!
Yup, you heard us! Acura has officially released it’s full Super Bowl 50 ad, and it makes us want to roar as loudly as Katy Perry in her Super Bowl XLIX (2015) halftime show performance. Okay, we might be exaggerating just a bit, but the 2016 Acura Super Bowl commercial did make us want to test drive an NSX come February 25, 2016, the official date of the vehicle’s release. (With a list price of $156,000 we’re not sure we’ll be able to buy one…)
Don’t believe us? Check out their ad called “What He Said” for yourself:
Acura’s 30-second Super Bowl 50 ad will air during the first quarter of CBS’s broadcast of the game on February 7, 2016. This ad marks the company’s return to the Big Game after sitting out since their Super Bowl XLVI (2012) debut. That fantastic ad featured a very determined Jerry Seinfeld and a cameo from an air-borne Jay Leno:
Surprisingly, the company chose to take on an entirely different approach this year, focusing exclusively on the Acura NSX. In the ad, we hear Van Halen’s “Runnin’ With the Devil” in the background. Acura’s choice of music is meant to highlight the car’s driving experience and spotlight its features. The theme of red, white and blue shows consumers that while Acura may be a Japanese company, they still have a love for the good ol’ U. S. of A.
To really get our bubbles bursting, the company also released an extended 60-second version of their ad to drive their message home!
Your Chance to Drive an Acura NSX
And if that wasn’t enough to get consumers rushing to buy their very own Acura NSX, the company has announced that they are running a #DriveAcuraNSXContest sweepstakes through February 18, 2016, in honor of the Big Game. The company is giving one lucky winner the chance to win a driving experience for two.
