King’s Hawaiian Profile

Did you ever wonder about the origins of this deliciously soft bread?

As its name suggests, King’s Hawaiian was founded by Robert Taira, in Hilo, Hawaii, in the late 1950s. Originally called “King’s Bakery,” the company is a California-based, family-owned and operated bakery, widely known for its soft and fluffy “Hawaiian” bread – prepared and served with Aloha Spirit! Following the success of its dinner rolls, burger buns and breads, King’s Hawaiian has expanded with its very own BBQ sauce.
