Febreze manufactures household odor eliminators and is owned by American consumer goods giant, Procter & Gamble Co. The air-freshening experts originally launched a fabric freshener in the USA in 1998. They have since expanded to the global market with air fresheners, plug-ins, car vents, candles and more. Febreze is now listed as one of P&G’s billion-dollar businesses and prides itself on its patented odor eliminating technology (as opposed to masking unpleasant smells!) The brand has even landed itself a spot in the Urban Dictionary as a go-to word for making something fresh or new.
The name “Febreze” comes from the joining of the words “fabric” and “breeze.”
