Pepsi Is Going To Rock-Chester

PepsiCo has been shaking up a can of Pepsi and slowly making it explode as February 1 and Super Bowl XLIX approach. For weeks. the soda company has been generating hype for the Big Game across social media with teasers, campaigns and contests. Under the hashtag #halftime, Pepsi invited people across the country to submit photos or videos nominating their hometown as a venue for a halftime show. The winning hometown has finally been revealed. It’s the Flower City aka Rochester, NY!

In addition to the official Katy Perry’s halftime show, Pepsi will bring a halftime concert to the lucky citizens of Rochester featuring Norwegian duo Nico and Vinz. Want to start getting hyped? Check them out here!

PepsiCo also just launched “Game Day Grub Match,” a culinary competition in which student chefs from The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) will compete to create the ultimate Super Bowl party dish. Where is the catch? Each team must incorporate PepsiCo food and beverage products in their recipes, such as Mountain Dew, Tropicana juice and Doritos chips.

On January 31, during Taste of the NFL’s annual Party with a Purpose, an event that rallies top chefs and NFL players to raise money in support of food banks throughout the United States, a panel of judges will crown the winning team. The winners will receive a $5,000 scholarship and tickets to Super Bowl 2015.
