McDonald’s is running a Super Bowl-sized sweepstakes, giving away ‘Game Time Gold!’

(And by “gold,” we mean cars, cash and Super Bowl tickets!)

McDonald’s has been a long-time active participant in the Super Bowl with sweepstakes, contests and of course good old Super Bowl commercials. The fast food chain’s Super Bowl 2015 ad had fans talking about it long after it ended! (Instead of cash or credit, a few lucky patrons were invited to pay for their burgers and Happy Meals with hugs, dance moves and calls home to mom.) It was considered to be the company’s “largest giveaway on social media ever.”

With Super Bowl 50 a few weeks away, the “I’m lovin’ it” brand looks like they may well be back for more in this year’s Big Game! To help fans get pumped for Super Bowl 2016, they ran a Game Time Gold sweepstakes - and advertised it in this commercial featuring Deion Sanders.

Ridiculously Tempting Prizes

In the promotion, contestants could enter online or in-store to win prizes including tickets to Super Bowl 50, an XBox One, a Hyundai Tucson or even $500,000! Mark your calendars because the grand prize winner of the Game Time Gold sweepstakes will be announced on January 4, 2016, and we’re dying to know who won!

Is Game Time Gold Only the Beginning?

Needless to say, after this exciting contest, McDonald’s has us tuned in to see if they’ll air an ad during Super Bowl 50.
