General Motors, who owns Buick, has been around earlier than the 1900s but was officially founded on September 16, 1908 by William “Billy” Durant. According to Reuters, the company “designs, builds and sells cars, trucks and automobile parts across the world…and also sells cars and trucks to fleet customers,” while providing “automotive financing services through GM Financial.”
With Buick dating its roots back to 1903, it became the “financial pillar on which…the world’s largest automaker [General Motors] — was created.” Since its inception, the company has been recognized as one of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers in its industry, and has expanded with several branches around the world.
Often thought of as an upscale car for grandma, the company has been working to change their image and posit themselves as cool!
Tonight, love is in the air. Trust us. (It’s a lot easier to notice when the convertible top is down.) #TheBachelor pic.twitter.com/ow0q5Wzljd
