Acura used their 2016 Super Bowl ad to highlight the 2017 Acura NSX. The 30-second ad aired during the first quarter of the game. That means, we even got to see it before we were drunk! (Although maybe a few drinks would have helped us find it more impressive…)
Acura released the extended version, called “What He Said,” on January 29th:
The commercial was all about highlighting the car. But were not sure it was enough to inspire anyone to shell out $156,000 or more for a new NSX? Only time will tell… The soundtrack, Van Halen’s “Runnin’ With the Devil,” does get our juices flowing.
Did this year’s ad live up to Acura’s last Super Bowl commercial?
While we don’t know how many cars it sold, we have to say that the 2016 Super Bowl commercial wasn’t quite as memorable as Acura’s 2012 Super Bowl ad with Jerry Seinfeld:
