Wendy’s is a household name. Even if you’re not an American, you’ve probably eaten a Wendy’s burger. The international fast food restaurant was founded by Dave Thomas and is famed for its logo of Melinda-Lou “Wendy” Thomas, the daughter of Thomas, who he named the restaurant after.
The fast food chain only ever uses fresh beef in its burgers since it was founded in 1969. Its patties are also best known for their irregular square shape.

A Twitter fight between a customer questioning the company’s “fresh beef” claim, allegedly sparked an idea for the creative behind the brand’s first Super Bowl LI campaign. Though we may be used to asking “where’s the beef?” following the company’s iconic 1983 commercial, it appears that Wendy’s is slowly moving on from its infamous catchphrase.
