And Website Builder Wix.com is Right There to Help with the Sack!
In an attempt to tap into the very fertile market of advertising during large events, Google has introduced a brand new program called Real-Time Ads. The program is designed to help advertisers target specific markets during large events and create ads that are relevant and even reactive to what’s going on in real-time.

While this advertising approach is much like Twitter, it does differ in that advertisers can submit ads in advance and then specify when they want them to be broadcast. The Real-Time Ads will be shown to Googlers on YouTube, on thousands of apps and in the 2 million plus sites that make up what’s called “the Google Display Network.”
Wix: Brave as a Kung Fu Fighter!
And who’s right there to test out this brand new product from Google? Super Bowl 2016 advertiser, Wix, who has also purchased a 30-second ad spot in the Super Bowl for the second year in a row. Apparently, in addition to their Super Bowl ad (for which they’ve released teasers like the one below) Wix will also be trying out Google’s brand new ad service on Game Day.
Google is inviting companies to try out the new program at upcoming events like Super Bowl 50 and the Oscars. According to Google, “With Real-Time Ads brands will be able to instantly run an ad with a message that ties directly to the big moment consumers just experienced.”
How YouTube is Getting in on the Action:
YouTube (which is owned by Google) is also busy planning for the Super Bowl with their own arsenal of special features. They are airing a special show called “How to Win Game Day” on Feb 2 and they’ll be conglomerating all the Super Bowl commercials in one place (although you can see them all here.) Plus, they will be encouraging users to watch Super Bowl ads on their network. Think they can surpass the 300,000+ hours of Super Bowl commercials that were viewed on YouTube last year?
Worried Facebook is going to miss out on the fun?
Never fear. In honor of the 2016 Super Bowl - and in order to keep up with the Jones’, Facebook has launched a new “sports feed” where enthusiasts can catch the score, chat about the game and see stats. All in real time, of course.
