The last time was in 2008, where they took advantage of their 30-second spot to promote the Valentine’s Day collection. The ad picked up a whopping 103.7 million views!
Victoria’s Secret debut Super Bowl appearance was in 1999, with a 30-second ad. Using the hype to their advantage, they hosted a first ever live-online fashion show, according to CNN.com. By any measure, the spot was a success; the broadcast attracted 1.5 million visitors. (The fact that the online show featured supermodels might have helped the situation.)
