The men’s skin care brand has been around since it was launched by Unilever in France in 1983. Since then, Axe as won the trust of consumers all over the world and managed to expand their reach to over 90 countries around the world.
Since its founding, Axe has become a household name for men. Often associated with traditional notions of masculinity, Axe is one of the best selling deodorants on the market. The product does go by different names in different locations, however. (Does Axe by any other name smell so sweet?) For example, in Ireland, Australia and the UK, the brand is known as Lynch.)
