Pepsi made its debut in 1893, more than 50 years before Coca-Cola first hit supermarket shelves. Originally called “Brad’s Drink,” it was renamed Pepsi-Cola in August of 1898. The company, specializing in carbonated drinks, has had dozens of slogans over the years. From 1939 to 1950, they promised you could get “Twice as Much for a Nickel.” Some other great slogans from days gone by? How about “More Bounce to the Ounce?” or “You’ve Got a Lot to Live and Pepsi’s Got a Lot to Give.”
Most recently, they are working to appeal to those Pepsi drinkers who are examining food labels for artificial flavors. Their new slogan in North America last year was “Pepsi-Cola – Made with Real Sugar.”
And even if you don’t love the cola itself, chances are you enjoy one of their products. PepsiCola also makes Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist, SoBe, AMP Energy, IZZE, Naked Juice, Propel, Mug, Aquafina and the new and premium water brand, Life WTR – which they will highlight in the 2017 Pepsi Super Bowl commercial.
