Start your engines! This year’s Super Bowl will feature at least one car ad! Kia was the first automaker to announce their plans to air a Super Bowl commercial. This year, the spot will be used to highlight a hybrid – the 2017 Kia Niro!
Actress and comedian, Melissa McCarthy, has been unveiled as this year’s talent to help tout Kia’s exciting new hybrid. While McCarthy will physically star in the 60-second Super Bowl ad, for now, we just get to enjoy her chirpy voiceover with the release of two 15-second teasers titled, “Many Names” and “Need/Want?”
The tagline for this year’s campaign is, “A smarter kind of crossover.”
What did Kia do last year?
In their Super Bowl 50 ad, Kia had Christopher Walken on board, helping them boost sales for the Kia Optima. Who will come out of the closet this year to help tout this exciting new hybrid?
